A BRIEF HISTORY
When my dad, Ed, founded the company in the basement of our New Jersey home it was time for the whole family to get involved. The early years were lean, but we soon moved into a proper office/warehouse facility where my parents, sister, and I all worked.
We slowly grew and in 1984 the decision was made to move the company to southwest Virginia about an hour from High Point, NC and in the heart of the furniture industry. We began to outgrow our facility again and settled on a new location in Pittsboro, NC just outside of Chapel Hill. In 1989 we moved into our new office and warehouse which is where we work to this day on our beautiful wooded 9 acres.
Although the rest of my family is no longer involved in the company the family feel remains with our staff. We pride ourselves on the relationships we’ve cultivated with our customers and manufacturing partners and are excited to see what the next chapter will bring.

Mark Fink
President, 38 years
As President of Wood Technology, Mark has led the company’s strategic direction since 2001. He manages OEM partnerships in the US and internationally with a focus on product development and new markets.
Mike Fisher
Vice President of Sales, 34 years
Mike manages major accounts both domestically and internationally with a key focus on sales development. His commitment to each customer’s success has earned him praise from large companies and small businesses alike.
Mary Schober
Chief Financial Officer, 21 years
Mary manages the financial strategy, compliance, and accounting functions of the company. She also manages Human Resources and IT infrastructure to ensure our success.
Scott McBryde
Warehouse & Shipping Manager, 11 years
Scott runs a tight ship by managing our warehouse operations team for our 17,000 square foot warehouse. He is dedicated to shipment accuracy for individual orders, major accounts, and Amazon pallet shipments.
Katie Collins
Director of Marketing, 1 year
Katie manages ecommerce sales and digital marketing programs to increase awareness of Wood Technology’s products and services. Her goal is to ensure that each customer interaction is a positive experience.
Sunny Collins
Social Media Specialist & Customer Service Manager, 2 years
Sunny manages our social media accounts and processes all ecommerce orders. She is also the first point of contact for incoming calls and provides customer service with a smile.
